Welcome to TOMIC new challenge :
Please read the rules on the sidebar before submitting.
Our Challenge this week is creating a scene with Magnolia stamps but not only with masking, it has to be dimensional.
This challenge is all about creating a dimensional scene with Magnolia stamps. We want you to create 3D scenes in every possible way and to help you out, here comes a tutorial for doing a stairstep card. Using this tutorial is not mandatory, just use whatever technique you like the most.
On your blogs, you will have to show us picture of your card but we also want to see details about the dimensional part (side pictures or close ups). If you don't show us the dimensional details, your card won't be selected for the draw as we won't be able to see if it fits the challenge or not.
One way to make it dimensional is by creating a Stair Step Card, so I like to show you how to make a Side Step Card ...
It's not my idea, but I took some pictures when I was making a new decoration for our entrance and made a template. I chosed the size for a A6-Card, which you can send in a regular envelope if you won't add to much decorations - like me :)
You have to cut the bold line and fold the stitched black ones. You can see how to fold on the next pictures.
It's nearly done ... now you can decorate the card as you want.
If you'd like to place it as decoration somewhere, it's better to add a piece of cardstock for stabilasation in it or bind it together with a ribbon like I did on my card, otherwise it could slide away ...
Magnolia stamps are so funny to play with because of the many characters, accessories and backgrounds that you can mix together.
So here come the marvellous creations made by our talented dt members for your inspiration, showing you several techniques to build dimensional scenes. You can find all our blogs on the sidebar and see more gorgeous Magnolia creations. Click on the name to go directly to the member's blog):
